The Department of Student Engagement provides resources, skills, and experiences to foster the development of the whole student inside and outside the classroom, in preparation for a life of continuous learning , effective leadership and personal well-being.

The President’s Student Advisory Council provides advice on pressing student issues to the WSU Tech President. Monthly meetings throughout the academic year encourage discussion on new initiatives and emergent issues.
Composition:
The President’s Advisory Council (The PAC) shall consist of a PAC Chair, Vice-Chair and ten (10) Student Representatives across academic disciplines and academic levels shall be represented on the board.
The Director of Student Engagement will be present at all meetings.
Additional individuals from across the college may attend as invited guests.
PAC Student Chair Responsibilities:
Serves as the official representative of the student body at the college
Makes quarterly oral reports on PAC activities to the college Advisory Board
Compile PAC meeting agenda with the WSU Tech President and Director of Student Engagement
Assists the WSU Tech President in leading monthly PAC meetings
Co-leads the PAC in the annual Pull-A-Plane Foundation Fundraiser with the PAC Student Vice-Chair
Must promote and attend two Student Engagement events per semester
Must attend one leadership development conference
Creates a quarterly Student Town Hall video for distribution to students
Appoint student committees when needed
Serve on special college committees as needed
PAC Student Vice-Chair Responsibilities:
Execute the duties of the PAC Student Chair in their absence
Record all proceedings of PAC meetings
Minutes to be completed within 3 days of the meeting and submitted to the Director of Student Engagement and PAC Chair for approval
Maintain attendance records for each meeting
Maintain current contact information for all PAC members (email distribution list)
Send email reminders to members and officers for meetings, minutes, and agenda
Co-leads the PAC in the annual Pull-A-Plane Foundation Fundraiser with the PAC Student Chair
Must promote and attend two Student Engagement events per semester
Must attend one leadership development conference
Serve on special committees as needed
PAC Student Chair and Vice-Chair Representatives Student Eligibility:
Enrolled in a degree-seeking program minimum 6 hours at WSU Tech
Minimum cumulative institutional GPA of 3.0
Students must maintain a professional demeanor
Have an interest in contributing to the mission of WSU Tech
Must not be on disciplinary probation and in good standing with the Office of Student Conduct at the time of application for office and must maintain this status throughout the term
Must commit to serving one year on the President’s Advisory Council
PAC Student Chair and Vice-Chair Representatives Benefits:
$2,000 scholarship each semester

PAC Student Representative Responsibilities:
Participate in PAC Meetings, events, and annual Pull-A-Plane Foundation Fundraiser
Serve as a voice of the student body and bring forward student concerns to the council
Must promote and attend two Student Engagement events per semester
Must attend one leadership development conference
Serve on special committees as needed
PAC Student Representative Eligibility:
Enrolled in a degree-seeking program minimum 6 hours at WSU Tech
Minimum cumulative institutional GPA of 2.5
Students must maintain a professional demeanor
Have an interest in contributing to the mission of WSU Tech
Must not be on disciplinary probation and in good standing with the Office of Student Conduct at the time of application for office and must maintain this status throughout the term
Must commit to serving one year on the President’s Advisory Council

PAC provides an opportunity for professional and leadership development of its members
WSU Tech Student Chapter of the National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America (SCNAVTA)
The purpose of SCNAVTA is philanthropy, career networking, and building of leadership skills. Members will increase their awareness of the Veterinary Technician profession through participation in educational events and community activities. Upon graduation, active members in the student chapter will have the opportunity to become members of the professional organization National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America (NAVTA).
The Video Game Club exists to give WSU Tech student gamers an opportunity to enjoy video games in both a casual and competitive environment. The club plays games such as League of Legends, Overwatch, Smash and Rocket League among others.
HALO is an organization at WSU Tech that represents the Hispanic community by participating in university and civic events; acts as a support system for Hispanics who attend or will attend WSU Tech, fosters, and perpetuates their traditions, customs, and culture; and assists WSU Tech in its efforts to promote its educational opportunities, in particular to prospective and current Hispanic students.
The FC is a student organization whose purpose is to create a culture of student involvement at WSU Tech through the immersive activities that revolve around various genres of films.
