Education Programs

At WSU Tech, we’re serious about paraeducators. Whether you aim to enter the workforce directly as a paraeducator or aspire to pursue a teacher licensure, this is your starting point. We offer flexible options with in-person, online, and hybrid classes to suit your needs.

Degree and Certificate options:

WSU Tech offers degree and certificate options in Paraeducator and more.

Associate of Applied Science (AAS): Typically a 2-Year Program
Technical Certificate (TC):  Typically a 1-Year Program
Certificate of Completion (COC): Usually completed in less than 1 semester

The Paraeducator program is designed to equip graduates with the skills needed to pursue a career in elementary education. The coursework provides a strong academic background in English, humanities, science, and social sciences. Building on this academic core, the program will provide a solid foundation in classroom management, assessment, and instructional technology, along with experiential learning opportunities. Upon completion, graduates will be prepared to enter the workforce as a paraprofessional or transfer to a Baccalaureate degree program in Elementary Education. Degree and Certification Programs

Some students may have to test to determine which courses they’re prepared to take. Consult with your Academic Advisor to see if you are exempt from testing.

3. Financial Aid

Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by visiting FAFSA.ed.gov. Explore more scholarship options and ways to pay for college here.

4. Checklists

Complete the checklist that is specific to the program you wish to study. Checklists can be found on the individual program pages. Visit our Programs of Study page to see all the degree and certificate options.

5. Enroll

Schedule your advising appointment NOW by visiting wsutech.edu/contact or by visiting an academic advisor at one of our enrollment centers.
