ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The Georgia-Pacific (GP) Apprenticeship Program is an opportunity for people from any background or experience level to gain education and hands-on experience that could lead to a full-time accounting role with GP. Professionals from both WSU Tech and GP guide you through an accelerated, individualized program in Atlanta, Georgia. All coursework will be completed online – and pacing is flexible. You can work 20-40 hours a week, depending on your schedule.

Georgia-Pacific, a Koch company, will cover most coursework expenses through WSU Tech, where students focus on foundational business and accounting concepts. Students will also receive complementary instruction covering Koch’s management philosophy, Principle Based Management™. During the paid apprenticeship, students will complete their remaining WSU Tech coursework while also working alongside GP accountants and tax professionals.

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?

  • Receive a Technical Certificate in Accounting recognized by the Georgia Board of Regents

  • All foundational coursework expenses covered and compensation for your apprenticeship

  • Consideration for full-time employment as a staff accountant or tax analyst at Georgia-Pacific

  • Work alongside experienced accountants and analysts during a paid apprenticeship

  • Learn new skills, solve real challenges and offer insights that make a difference

  • Complementary instruction covering Koch’s management philosophy, Principle Based Management™
