Why is it important to choose an inexpensive college?

With the cost of getting a college education rising, it is important to consider an inexpensive college to complete your degree. Avoid the burden of high loan amounts and obtain a quality education at one of the cheapest colleges in Kansas. WSU Tech is one of the cheapest colleges in Wichita offering 2 year degree programs.

Financial Aid

Financial aid is one of the ways students make paying for college possible. There are different types of financial aid including scholarships, grants and loans. WSU Tech offers scholarships for college students in specific programs, institutional scholarships and industry supported scholarships. Grants for school include the Pell Grant, a federal grant that is awarded based on need. There are also a variety of loans for college students including direct loans, parent loan for undergraduate students and private loans. WSU Tech’s Financial Aid office offers support to students who have questions about their financial aid for college.

Financial Aid for Online Students

Did you know that WSU Tech offers financial aid for online students? Financial aid for online college is not much different than financial aid for on campus students. WSU Tech offers affordable online classes and online college scholarships.

WSU Tech will be closed and classes will be canceled Wednesday, Dec. 5 in observance of the National Day of Mourning for President George H.W. Bush.

Weather update: All classes are canceled and college offices will be closed Thursday, Feb. 7. For events at the college, contact the event organizer for more information. WSU Tech will resume its normal schedule on Friday, Feb. 8.

ATTENTION: All WSU Tech locations will be closed starting Monday, Nov. 21st through Friday, Nov. 25th for Fall Break. Offices will resume normal business hours Monday, Nov. 28th.

ATTENTION: The college will be closed December 22 – January 2 for Winter break. We will re-open January 3.

NOTICE: Due to weather, WSU Tech campuses will be closed on Tuesday. Jan. 16, 2024. Classes will be held remotely, employees to work remotely.

⚠️ WSU Tech Alert: Due to a power outage, our City Center Campus is closing at 12 pm today, Tuesday, August 22. This impacts our City Center campus ONLY.

REMINDER: Fall Break is November 20th - 26th. All WSU Tech campuses and offices will be closed. Normal business hours will resume on Monday, November 27th.

REMINDER: Winter Break is December 22nd - January 2nd. All WSU Tech campuses and offices will be closed. Normal business hours will resume on Tuesday, January 2nd, 2024.

REMINDER: WSU Tech Student Services will be closed on Friday, December 15th from 2:00pm to 5:00pm. This includes Admissions, Advising, Financial Aid, Business office, SASS, Success Coaches, TRIO, and FutureMaker. We will resume services with regular business hours on Monday, December 18th.

REMINDER: There are no classes March 11th – 17th for Spring Break and the college is closed on March 14th & 15th, including administrative offices. All campus operations and classes will resume as normal on March 18th.
