WSU Tech and Wichita State University (WSU) have opened a new location in Old Town at 213 N. Mead, in the former home of Airbus Engineering. The space is shared with WSU Tech’s Surgical Technology, Practical Nurse, Healthcare Administration and Management, Certified Nurse Aide (CNA), Certified Medication Aide (CMA) and Home Health Aide (HHA) programs andWSU’s Department of Physician Assistant and Department of Physical Therapy. Featured in the new facility are a state-of-the-art simulation hospital with a general emergency room, labor and delivery and exam rooms, a surgical lab with cutting-edge simulators and a SynDaver (synthetic human) Lab.
A ribbon cutting ceremony will take place on Thur., Aug. 31, 2017, at 3 p.m. immediately followed by a reception with refreshments and an opportunity to tour the new facility.
