Grit and Gears Summer Camp

UNLOCK YOUR CHILD’S POTENTIAL AT GRIT AND GEARS!

Does your child love to build, create, and figure out how things work? Are they always asking “why” and “how”? If so, Grit and Gears is the perfect summer experience to fuel their curiosity and develop their problem-solving skills in a fun, hands-on environment!

At Grit and Gears, boys will spend one day exploring the exciting world of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) through engaging challenges and team-based activities. From coding and robotics to designing structures and testing aerodynamics, they will get to think like engineers, work like inventors, and build like problem-solvers—all while having a blast!

They will also meet real industry professionals who use these skills every day, giving them a glimpse into the exciting career possibilities that lie ahead. This is more than just a camp—it’s an opportunity to develop grit, resilience, and teamwork while discovering the power of STEM in action!

DATES:

JULY 15, 2025: For boys entering 3rd – 5th grade

Register by July 10.

JULY 22, 2025: For boys entering 6th – 8th grade

Register by July 17.

WSU Tech will be closed and classes will be canceled Wednesday, Dec. 5 in observance of the National Day of Mourning for President George H.W. Bush.

Weather update: All classes are canceled and college offices will be closed Thursday, Feb. 7. For events at the college, contact the event organizer for more information. WSU Tech will resume its normal schedule on Friday, Feb. 8.

ATTENTION: All WSU Tech locations will be closed starting Monday, Nov. 21st through Friday, Nov. 25th for Fall Break. Offices will resume normal business hours Monday, Nov. 28th.

ATTENTION: The college will be closed December 22 – January 2 for Winter break. We will re-open January 3.

NOTICE: Due to weather, WSU Tech campuses will be closed on Tuesday. Jan. 16, 2024. Classes will be held remotely, employees to work remotely.

ATTENTION: All Student Services will be closed and the Self Service platform will be unavailable on June 30th for necessary updates. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

⚠️ WSU Tech Alert: Due to a power outage, our City Center Campus is closing at 12 pm today, Tuesday, August 22. This impacts our City Center campus ONLY.

REMINDER: Fall Break is November 25th - 29th. All WSU Tech campuses and offices will be closed. Normal business hours will resume on Monday, December 2nd.

REMINDER: Winter Break is December 22nd - January 2nd. All WSU Tech campuses and offices will be closed. Normal business hours will resume on Tuesday, January 2nd, 2024.

REMINDER: WSU Tech Student Services will be closed on Friday, December 15th from 2:00pm to 5:00pm. This includes Admissions, Advising, Financial Aid, Business office, SASS, Success Coaches, TRIO, and FutureMaker. We will resume services with regular business hours on Monday, December 18th.

REMINDER: There are no classes March 11th – 17th for Spring Break and the college is closed on March 14th & 15th, including administrative offices. All campus operations and classes will resume as normal on March 18th.

NOTICE: Due to anticipated severe weather, WSU Tech will close at 3 PM on Monday, May 6. All evening classes are canceled.
