Taking Flight is our signature fundraising event with proceeds benefiting the WSU Tech Foundation. The Foundation supports WSU Tech students with scholarships and financial assistance to reach their academic goals.
Why Taking Flight?
Taking Flight supports students pursuing technical education at WSU Tech. Through this event we’re helping students reach the very heights of their potential.
The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization that operates independently from the College and is governed by a board of directors comprised of eight of Wichita’s business and civic leaders. WSU Tech Foundation staff work with Wichita-area companies, organizations, and individuals to provide charitable giving support to match WSU Tech’s efforts to provide students a better life while providing highly-qualified job candidates for the region’s employers.
Students pursuing higher education face mounting financial challenges. During a typical year, the Foundation and college provide financial support and fund scholarships to more than 150 WSU Tech students.
With the support and generosity of our community partners, Taking Flight will raise funds for our students and provide the opportunity to gain higher education and leadership in workforce training. Every gift makes a world of difference in the life of a WSU Tech student.
