MAKE YOUR GIFT TODAY

Every donation is greatly appreciated and no amount is too small.

Your gift will remove barriers for students pursuing higher education to change their lives for the better.
MAKE YOUR GIFT TODAY

Your gifts to the Foundation make a difference in the lives of our students. Students select WSU Tech to receive training for jobs that are most in demand by the community in which we live and work. Over 95% of our students have secured job placement within 6 months of graduation and we have the best completion rate of all higher education institutions in the state of Kansas.

When you invest in the WSU Tech Foundation, you’re investing in a brighter future for our students and our community.

Giving Options

Donors can make cash contributions at any time.  Give online at your convenience.

Non-cash gifts, such as equipment and software, are also welcome. Please contact the Foundation Office to determine current needs.

Your gift could double or triple if your employer has a matching gift program. Check with your Human Resource Department.

There are numerous opportunities for named gifts rights of classrooms, labs and common areas. Pledged gifts can be made over a period of time to garner an appropriate marker bearing a family or company name.

Donors interested in impacting the lives of students through fiscal support can gift to existing scholarship funds. Make a one-time gift or make annual contributions to a specific fund in a designated field.

Donors may establish named endowments to offer living tributes and memorials to family and friends. The created fund benefits current and future students and programs for years to come. The principal in the fund is never touched. Only the interest is used to make annual awards. The endowment may be funded over a period of time to reach the designed amount to generate needed funds.

In-Kind Gifts

The WSU Tech Foundation always welcomes in-kind donations, which help the College keep pace with changing technology and equipment needs and meet the demands of increased enrollment.

Gifts-in-kind are gifts of property that are voluntarily transferred by a donor to WSU Tech without compensation. These gifts may include equipment, vehicles, materials, supplies, artwork and other personal property a donor might give to WSU Tech. Gifts of services are not considered to be a tax-deductible contribution.

The donor and/or department representative completes the Gift-In-Kind Form. The department head or dean shall sign the form where appropriate and send to the Foundation for receipting. It is important to designate the department that the gift is to be credited to. All donors receive a charitable tax receipt or acknowledgement for all donated items upon acceptance of approved and completed form.

  • All gifts of equipment and materials donated through the WSU Tech Foundation become college property.
  • Gifts of motor vehicles and airplanes shall include title, bill of sale and IRS Form 1098-C.
  • If the value of a gift is over $5,000, IRS Form 8283 signed by an IRS qualified appraiser and written appraisal is required.
  • You may be required to contact WSU Tech Facilities Director at (316) 677-9461 for Title Transfer process.

In-Kind Donations up to $5,000:
If the donation is from $500 to $4,999.99, in addition to the above, the donor and/or department representative accepting the gift will need to complete IRS Form 8283, forward a copy to the Foundation and file a copy with their tax return to claim the deduction. The donor should seek the advice of his/her professional tax consultant to determine the extent of the in-kind gift’s tax benefit.

In-Kind Donations of $5,000 and above:
In addition to the steps outlined above, the donor should have the IRS Form 8283 signed by an authorized appraiser and provide a copy of appraisal and signed IRS Form 8283 to the Foundation as required by the IRS and the WSU Tech Foundation. The donor should seek the advice of his/her professional tax consultant to determine the extent of the in-kind gift’s tax benefit.

In-Kind Donations of Motor Vehicles and Airplanes:

Note: Under IRS regulations, the valuation of any gift-in-kind is the responsibility of the donor and/or IRS authorized appraiser.
