Alpha Sigma Lambda is an honor society which partners with colleges and universities to celebrate the scholarship and leadership of adult students in higher education.

• Academic workshops
• Volunteering opportunities
• Graduation regalia and acknowledgment following completion of 10 hours of community service
• Honor Society Faculty & Staff Recognition nominations

• Be an active student and completed 24 credit hours at WSU Tech (12 of the completed credits must be from Liberal Arts & Sciences)
• Have a minimum GPA of 3.2
• Be within the top 20% of the class
• Currently, membership is limited to undergraduate students seeking their first degree.

• Serve as a WSU Tech Student Ambassador
• Volunteer time at a non-profit organization
• Volunteer time at a K-12 school
• Participate in the WSU Shocker Pathway Mentoring Program

• Students who achieve the qualification criteria during the Fall semester will be invited to join early in the Spring semester. 
  • A second induction ceremony will not be held. However, new Spring members will be acknowledged at the Year-End Celebration. 
  • Students who achieve the qualification during the Spring semester will be invited to join in the following Fall semester if they are enrolled at WSU Tech in the Fall. 
  • New members will not be admitted in the same semester they intend to participate in Commencement. 
  For these reasons, if you would like to join Alpha Sigma Lambda, it is strongly advisable that you work to meet the criteria, such as earning 12 credit hours in General Education courses, as early in your academic career as possible.
