Over $100,000 of scholarships will be awarded on National CTE Signing Day to students interested in pursuing career and technical education. If you are a high school senior and are interested in pursuing a degree in aviation, healthcare, manufacturing, design, business or police science register NOW to be considered for a $500 scholarship.
The scholarships will be awarded at WSU Tech’s third-annual CTE Signing Day on February 15, 2018 from 12:15 to 2:45 p.m. at 4004 N. Webb Road. To receive a scholarship of $500, high school seniors must simply register using this link, attend the Feb. 15 event and enroll by May 1, 2018 for technical education classes starting in August.
“This is an amazing opportunity for graduating high school students,” said Andy McFayden, Director of Marketing and Community Outreach at WSU Tech. “Not only because $500 scholarships are there for the taking, but also because the skills WSU Tech teaches will lead directly to high-wage jobs.”
Students may choose from more than 100 technical programs of study and receive a $500 scholarship.
The event, which is conducted in conjunction with the National Coalition of Certification Centers, will feature a special keynote speaker and presentations from local employers whose industries offer attractive careers and high wages for skilled workers.
Following the presentations, high school students will break into small groups to complete a “Letter of Intent” signing ceremony which qualifies – but does not obligate – students to accept a scholarship and enroll in WSU Tech classes in the fall of 2018.
