WSU Tech is committed to continuous quality improvement within each of the programs it offers. To help us achieve this objective, we reach out to community leaders and ask them to work with us to improve program curriculum. Our Industry Advocate Teams meet twice per year as a means for establishing a two-way relationship with WSU Tech and industry partners within a given academic/technical program of study. We rely heavily on the input from industry in our community to guide our curriculum development as well as serve as a barometer of industry trends and employment possibilities. An additional byproduct for an industry participant would be the information-sharing and networking opportunities with similar industry partners. We believe that, as educators, we maintain a unique role in the ever-expanding technology/learning economy. When our students are here, they are our customers. When they leave, they become not just our product but a reflection of their “customer experience” here at WSU Tech. As an IAT member, you provide us with the feedback to help enhance the “customer experience” which results in a better product for the next customer—local industry leaders, like yourself, that are seeking to build their businesses through a qualified, educated workforce.
By participating on an Industry Advocate Team, you will have an opportunity to guide WSU Tech as we prepare students for employment with local business and industry. Each Industry Advocate Team is required to meet two times during the academic year. Additional meetings or contact may be held as deemed necessary. Meetings last approximately 90 minutes and snacks or a light breakfast/lunch/dinner (depends on the time of day) is provided. If you are interested in serving on this team, please complete the form.
