Graduates

Graduates that RSVP to attend the ceremony are sent specific instructions on student arrival, check-in, parking, security, etc. closer to the ceremony date in May. If you are a graduate and have not received this information by May 1st or you have additional questions about the ceremony, please contact the Registrar’s Office at registrarsoffice@wsutech.edu..

Guests

Tickets are not required to attend in-person and seating for guests is general admission and will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. Guests are required to enter the arena through the South Entrance and the doors will be open to guests at 5:30 PM. Plenty of parking is available free of charge and guests may park in visitor lots. See the Visitor Parking page for details about available lots.

To ensure the safety of everyone attending commencement, all graduates and guests will be screened and pass through metal detectors before entering the arena. Also, the Wichita State Athletics clear bag policy will be in place for all attendees and the following outlines bags that are permitted:

• Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 14″ x 6″ x 14″;
• One-gallon clear plastic storage bags (Ziploc bag or similar); and
• Small clutch or purse, with or without a handle or strap, that do not exceed 5.5″ x 7.5″ (approximately the size of a hand).
• Exceptions will be made for medically necessary bags or equipment after proper inspection by security.

WSU Tech staff reserves the right to prohibit any items they deem inappropriate. The following are prohibited items graduates and guests are not allowed to bring into the arena:

• Outside Food and drink
• Weapons not allowed by law
• Noisemakers
• Pocket and box knives
• Alcohol and drugs
• Balloons
