Criterion One Complete!

When asked about her experience with the HLC Accreditation process, Criterion One Co- Chair Trish Schmidt said, “This was my third time around the HLC – NCA block so it was all very familiar.  But that was not true for many of my fellow committee members.  The entire process was new so they had to work extra hard to learn what was expected of them while meeting all the deadlines, writing up their part and collecting all that evidence.  They all did a great job!”

Fellow co- chair Ron Ragon added, “The task of engaging Instructors and Staff in writing and evidence collection was somewhat daunting.  Many individual schedules were impacted, especially Instructor’s, juggling class times and coverage.  In the end, all team members participated and as a group we gained a much deeper insight into the workings and community value of WSU Tech.  The deeper realization of the impact of WSU Tech’s success in the Wichita community in this time of economic hardship only increases the appreciation for the job our employees do on a daily basis.  Kudos to our team!!”

On behalf of the entire WSU Tech Community, we’d like to thank ALL members of Criterion One who contributed to the successful completion of their narrative and evidence collection.  This is a notable milestone for all of us as we continue to prepare for the 2014 HLC Site Visit!

Criterion Two Complete!

When asked about her experience with the HLC Accreditation process, Criterion Two Co- Chair Willow Dean said, “The process of drafting and gathering evidence for criterion two was definitely a learning process.  We were able to dive into areas of the college and gain knowledge that we didn’t have before.  We were also able to see if the college is doing what we say we’re doing and identified areas where opportunities for improvement exist.”

On behalf of the entire WSU Tech Community, we’d like to thank ALL members of Criterion Two who contributed to the successful completion of their narrative and evidence collection.  This is a notable milestone for all of us as we continue to prepare for the 2014 HLC Site Visit!
