Offered Tests
Accuplacer
The Accuplacer assessment is an assessment for reading, writing, and college level math skills. WSU Tech uses this assessment for program entrance requirements and general education course placement . Check your program page or with your advisor for specific program requirements.
Students planning to enroll at WSU Tech are allowed one free Accuplacer test session. Any additional attempts will require a testing fee. The Accuplacer is administered online and is untimed. Each section may be completed separately. Study materials and practices tests can be found online on the Accuplacer Website.
WSU Tech now uses EdReady for all general math placement. Please see the EdReady section for more information.
CNA, CMA, HHA
WSU Tech offers the Certified Nursing Aide (CNA), Certified Medication Aide (CMA), and Home Health Aide (HHA) exams to both WSU Tech students and community members. In order to ensure the proper paperwork is completed, appointments must be made a minimum of one week in advance. Payment will be required before the test is administered. WorkKeys
The ACT WorkKeys assessment measure workplace skills in the areas of Applied Math, Graphic Literacy, and Workplace Documents. Successful completion of each assessment contributes to the Nation Career Readiness Certificate. These assessments are administered in an online environment and each averages about an hour to complete. Appointments are required to take the WorkKeys. Payment is due at the time of testing.

Testing Fees
All non-WSU Tech Students will be charged a $25 proctoring fee for all services.
Accuplacer Placement Assessment:
WSU Tech uses the Accuplacer test for placement testing. There are three sections: Math, Reading and Writing. The test is not timed. Please allow approximately 1 hour for each section.
Fees: The first test session is free for WSU Tech applicants (non-applicants will be charged the retest fee of $5 for per test section). Each retest is $5 per test section. Each section of the Accuplacer test may be taken up to three times in one rolling year. Sample test questions and test-taking tips can be found on the Accuplacer website.
EdReady Math Assessment:
WSU Tech uses EdReady Math Assessment for placement testing. There are three exams: Math Fundamental, General Math and College Readiness. The test is not timed. Please allow approximately 1 ½ hours for each test.
Fees: The first test session is free for WSU Tech applicants (non – applicants will be charged the retest fee of $15 to test). Retest fee is $15. EdReady test can be taken up to three times in one rolling year. With completion of the Study Path. Practice Test can be found by going to https://edready.org/signup
TEAS Test:
Appointments are required to take the TEAS exam. Please call the Testing Center to schedule your appointment: 316-677-9506.
WSU Tech uses ATI TEAS VII for admission to the Registered Nurse program. There are four sections: Reading, English, Math, and Science. All four sections must be completed in one test session.
Fees: Each test session costs $75.
Retakes: Students must wait a minimum of 30 days before retesting at WSU Tech. ATI TEAS can be taken no more than 2 times per application period.

Instructor Exams
The WSU Tech Testing Center proctors makeup exams, midterms, and finals for WSU Tech students. Instructors must send proper paperwork before an exam can be administered. Appointments are recommended as there is limited seating in the testing centers.
Accommodations Testing
Students who have been approved for accommodations testing should contact Disabilities Services to schedule an accommodations test at SASS@wsutech.edu.

EdReady
EdReady is the Math placement assessment used at WSU Tech. There are two different assessments depending on your program entrance requirements. Please see the general education course placement guide for more information. Contact your advisor to ensure you take the correct placement.
Students planning to enroll at WSU Tech are allowed one free EdReady test session. Additional attempts will require a testing fee and are limited to 3 attempts in one calendar year. The assessment is untimed and administered on a computer.
If you are wanting to place into college level math including Trigonometry or Calculus, you will need to take the Accuplacer assessment. Please contact your advisor for more information.
CLEP
CLEP (the College-Level Examination Program) offers exams that cover intro-level college course material. With a passing score on one CLEP exam, you could earn three or more college credits at WSU Tech.
CLEP was created to help individuals with prior knowledge in a college course subject earn their degree efficiently and inexpensively. That prior learning could have taken place through advanced high school courses, independent reading and study, online courseware or textbooks, noncredit courses, or on-the-job training.

- CLEP exams contain multiple choice questions.
- CLEP exams take about 90-120 minutes to complete
- CLEP exams are offered year-round
- Students receive their CLEP exam scores immediately after completing the exam.
- More than 2,900 U.S. colleges and universities grant credit for CLEP… including WSU Tech.
Register for CLEP
Steps to register for a CLEP exam:
- Go to the CollegeBoard CLEP registration webpage at https://clep.collegeboard.org/register. You will need to create an account before selecting and paying for the CLEP exam you wish to take. Payment for the CLEP exam will need to be made through the CLEP website before you will be allowed to print a CLEP Voucher Ticket.
- After you have completed the registration and payment process through the CLEP website you will need to contact WSU Tech Testing to set up an appointment to come in to take your CLEP assessment. Contact information for WSU Tech Testing is provided below.
- WSU Tech CLEP Proctoring Fee: You will be required to pay a $25.00 proctoring fee before you take the exam. Payment can be made on the day you test at the WSU Tech Business Office. You will not be allowed to test until payment is made.
- CLEP Testing at WSU Tech South: CLEP exams are only administered at the WSU Tech South Campus Testing Center. The address is provided below. For your testing appointment remember to bring your CLEP Voucher Ticket and also appropriate ID.
