The WSU Tech Testing Centers provide proctoring services for WSU Tech students, faculty, and community customers. The services include Accuplacer assessments, classroom exams, Ed Ready, Math Assessments, Health Occupation Credentialing, TEAS tests, Powersafe Training, and the WorkKeys. Emergency student loans are available for students in financial crisis. These loans can be used for a variety of things like to purchase books, pay rent, or make car repairs to name a few. Please contact your student success coach for more information and to apply. www.wsutech.edu/contact

When you are experiencing difficulties, the Counseling and Testing Center is an appropriate resource. Whether individual, couples, or group and family therapy, our personal counseling staff provides a wide range of services and assistance. Emergencies
If you are afraid you will not be able to avoid hurting yourself or someone else, get help immediately. Call 911 or the University Police at 316-978-3450.
You can also seek support for yourself or a friend by calling a national hotline at 1-800-SUICIDE (1-800-784-2433), check for your local resources at Suicide Hotlines, or contact the local COMCARE of Sedgwick County Crisis Line at 316-660-7500.

In Student Engagement, our mission is to care for the whole individual by offering opportunities that engage students in activities designed for their personal life and educational experience. The Department of Student Engagement ensures that there are a variety of options for students of all backgrounds and interests to get involved, form friendships, and have fun. We accomplish this by providing leadership development, student-centered events and programs, community volunteering, diverse clubs and organizations, and cultural experiences. Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity (IDE) | People & Culture Division provides strategic oversight, education and training, and intercultural engagement opportunities at WSU Tech. IDE collaborates with the Department of Student Engagement to provide intercultural programming, IDE leadership development and workshops for students. Also, IDE works across the college to ensure faculty and college personnel understand and acknowledge the uniqueness of each of our students and how their presence adds richness to the overall educational experience. Our goal at WSU Tech is to ensure students feel safe and supported, valued, have space to make meaningful contributions, and are prepared to engage in a global workforce.
The WSU Tech Career Services team is here to support you in all your employment needs. We provide coaching and mentoring for a variety of services, including career exploration, resume writing, interview preparation and support. Our team can help you connect to your next job through our professional connections. Our goal is to translate industry expectations into student best practices through professional guidance and preparation.
TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) is a federally funded program through the U.S. Department of Education. The program is funded to provide services to students from first-generation and limited income families as well as students with disabilities.
WSU Tech Student Support Services helps up to 140 students a year achieve their educational goals and their maximum potential. The program is designed to help students graduate from WSU Tech and/or transfer to a four-year university. WSU Tech SSS offers many free services to help students be successful and meet their educational, personal, and professional goals.

The Hub offers subject-focused hands-on activities and materials to assist in your learning success, and tutors help you develop independent learning and critical thinking skills. All tutors are professionals with tutoring experience in order to provide high quality academic support during your time at WSU Tech.

The safety and security of all individuals while on WSU Tech property and in all classrooms and laboratories are of the utmost importance. Although safety and security is everyone’s responsibility, WSU Tech works closely with local law enforcement to provide a safe and secure environment. The WSU Tech security team also supports students through scenarios and seminars in Drug and Alcohol Abuse & Prevention Programs, Sexual Assault Prevention and Response, Domestic Violence Workshops, Emergency Evacuation Procedures, Active Shooter Drills and more.
