The Food Business Management program blends culinary creativity with business strategy to prepare students for leadership roles in restaurant and food service operations.
Course topics include customer service, foundational skills in food and beverage operations, as well as hospitality finance and human resource management—equipping students with the tools to succeed in the fast-paced food industry. In the second half of the program, the student selects their area of focus in the Hospitality Industry.
This program is held at the iconic NICHE building in downtown Wichita!

MCI Scenario Day at WSU Tech 🚑🚨 On Friday, EMT, Criminal Justice, and Patient Care Technician students put their skills to the test during a series of simulated emergency scenarios across the South campus.
From the initial dispatch to hospital hand-off, students worked alongside industry professionals to navigate realistic challenges and gain valuable practice and hands-on experience in their field!
May is Mental Health Awareness Month — and WSU Tech is proud to be part of the solution.
Launching in August 2025, our new Mental Health Technician program blends mental health courses with hands-on training in nursing skills, emergency procedures, and pharmacology. Students gain the tools to understand mental illness, build resilience, and communicate effectively - preparing them to provide compassionate care in both mental and physical health settings.
Graduates will be eligible to take the Licensed Mental Health Technician exam.

With this pathway, we are preparing future teachers and investing in a pipeline of professionals who are already rooted in and committed to the communities they will serve.”
